The University of Basrah organizes a course about" the feasibility study

The Continuing Education and Development Centre at the University of Basrah organized a course about " feasibility study".

The objective of the course is to acquaint the participants with the importance of feasibility studies for investment projects, provide essential information on how to prepare feasibility studies for proposed investment projects, clarify the contents of each type of feasibility study conducted for investment projects, and present the appropriate program for preparing the necessary feasibility study for proposed investment projects.

There was an extensive discussion among participants about the possibility of creating a simplified model for a feasibility study for a specific investment project.

The course, which was presented by Dr Bashir Hadi Oudah Al-Taie, included an introduction to the concept of the feasibility study and its importance, the objectives of the feasibility study, the questions it faces, the characteristics of a feasibility study for investment projects, types of feasibility studies, the nature of their tasks, and presentation of a feasibility study model for one of the investment projects.

At the end of the course, the presenter recommended emphasising the necessity to expand the scope of training courses on feasibility studies to include various institutions and job positions. Enhancing the capabilities of participants through means other than lectures, such as advertising publications and illustrative posters, and allocating a portion of the exam grade to a research report prepared by each participant on the vocabulary of the course program.
