The Center for Development and Continuing Education at the University of Basra organized an online workshop on antibiotics, benefit or harm?

The aim of the workshop is to raise awareness of the use and use of antibiotics and to prevent the development of resistant germs

The workshop, which was presented by Dr. Wisal Odeh Hassan, included some concepts and terms related to antibiotics and their definition as antibacterials and antibiotics, as well as a historical overview of the beginnings of their discovery and classification. The workshop included the definition of bacterial resistance, its mechanism of action, and how it develops and spreads among people, in addition to awareness posters showing how people adhere to preventive methods that limit the development and spread of bacterial resistance.

In the end, the recommendation was to follow the instructions for hygiene and sterilization and the lack of use of antibiotics except with medical advice and all instructions issued by health institutions to reduce the phenomenon of the development of resistant germs
