The Center for Development and Continuing Education at the University of Basra structured a speech on the basics of Microsoft Word 2010 and Microsoft Excel 2010

The aim of the discourse is that Microsoft office programs are among the most important programs used in companies, departments, and government and private institutions. The word program was chosen to teach according to the features and structures of this distinguished written program. It was used in writing notes, books and many other supplies necessary to complete the education process and other operations. Excel was also chosen because it is an effective and wonderful tool for obtaining meaningful results from huge amounts of data. But it also works well for simple calculations and for tracking almost any type of information.

The lecture, which was presented by the Lecturer, Wael Qassem Rashid It included an introduction to the Microsoft Word program, methods of operating the program, a basic explanation of the program's interface, methods of opening a new file, saving the file, opening a stock file, closing the document, a detailed explanation of the tools of the Home tab. It also included a detailed explanation of the tools of the insert tab and explanation of the additional tabs, an introduction to Microsoft Excel, the definition of terms of rows and columns, methods of controlling rows and columns and their scaling, defining functions and their importance, enumerating the most important functions and how to use them.

In the end, the recommendation was to pay attention to the practical application and to continue it after the end of the course.
