The Center for Development and Continuing Education at The University of Basra organized a workshop on how to choose the appropriate journal to publish your research.

The aim of the workshop is to get acquainted with the good journal within the scientific classifications and how to choose a journal in order to publish your research within these journals and to fit the scope of the selected journal.

The workshop, which was presented by Dr. Alaa Karim Naima, included identifying international publishing houses, identifying journals that contain impact factors, identifying electronic links that are used in choosing the journal within publishing houses, and identifying the time period that the research needs for publication.

In the end, the recommendation was that care should be taken in choosing the appropriate journal for scientific research, as it is the basis for the publishing process

and choosing appropriate publishing houses with high academic ratings.
