The Center for Development and Continuing Education at the University of Basra organized a workshop on the symptoms of the stages of drug abuse and its effects

 The aim of the workshop is to educate university students about the dangers of taking narcotic substances and drugs and the resulting psychological, physical and social symptoms and their health consequences.

 The workshop, which was presented by the teacher, Shahad Risan Al-Assal, included two main axes, the first is to clarify the meaning of drugs and the reason for their spread, and the second is to clarify their negative impact on young people, the role of the family and society in preventing the danger of drugs, and the most important psychological, physical and social symptoms that occur after crossing the stage of addiction.

 In the end, it was recommended that for the most important issue was to pay attention to this problem and its dangers that threaten the safety and security of society, and activate the role of the family and society in educating young people about the dangers of this problem and its impact on their future.
