The University of Basrah will present a lecture about "teaching profession ethics for the course "Teaching Methods and Updated Curriculum."

The Continuing Education and Development Centre at the University of Basrah presented a talk about "teaching profession ethics for the course "Teaching Methods and Updated Curriculum."

The lecture's objectives are part of the Teaching Methods and Updated Curriculum lecture for the Southern Region's educational specialisation. It is to acquaint trainees with the essential ethics of the teaching profession and demonstrate how to apply them in their work.

The lecture, which is presented by Professor Dr Salam Naji Baqir Al-Ghazban, a faculty member at the College of Basic Education at the University of Misan,  the lecture is to acquaint trainees with the concepts of ethics and morality, highlighting the distinctions between the two and their interrelationship and the source of each which.

The presentation emphasised the importance of ethical standards teachers should possess and adhere to, illustrating how they are employed in their professional practice.

Additionally, various scenarios related to professional ethics in the educational context were presented, and discussions took place on how to take a stance towards them through interactions between the lecturer and the trainees.

At the end of the lecture, the presenter recommended emphasising the necessity of prioritising attention to the ethics of the teaching profession through theoretical lessons and practical applications in the university environment. It stressed the commitment to established and agreed-upon codes of professional ethics within university institutions.
