We congratulate our colleagues at Basra University for achieving the top rank among Iraqi universities in the Times Higher Education Impact Rankings for sustainable development in the 2024 edition. This is the fourth consecutive year of this achievement, placing our country, Iraq, first in the Arab world and seventh globally in a ranking that saw 2,152 universities from 125 countries competing.

We dedicate this remarkable success to the State of Prime Minister Mohammed Shia' Al Sudani, and to His Excellency the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naeem Al-Aboudi, for their continued support of the paths of science and education and for achieving advanced ranks.
