The Continuing Education and Development Center at the University of Basra organized a course on safety and first aid.

The course aims to raise awareness about the importance of first aid in saving lives and encouraging individuals in the community to learn first aid, as well as to educate about the most important domestic and external accidents, methods of first aid for them, and recognizing life-threatening situations.

The course, presented by Dr. Ali Khayoun Tareesh, included learning a set of life-saving skills and first aid for children and adults in the workplace, as well as principles and fundamentals of first aid and surgical aid, medical history, first aid positions, circulatory system injuries, burn and poisoning first aid, principles of fracture first aid, and the individual first aid kit.
