Basra University Holds a Lecture on Quality Management

The Center for Development and Continuing Education at Basra University conducted the seventh unit on Total Quality Management as part of a teaching methods course. The main objective of the lecture was to train participants to identify their personality types and understand how these differ based on their thinking patterns.

The lecture, delivered by lecturers Kian Abdul Aziz Matlak and Dr. Rafid Abdul Jabbar Mohammed, featured a presentation on quality management using Deming's Fourteen Points. These points emphasized creating a clear purpose aligned with a plan, adopting a new quality philosophy, eliminating fear, removing barriers that prevent employees from taking pride in their work, fostering teamwork, improving communication between management and employees, and establishing education and training programs. The presentation also highlighted the importance of creating a management structure that supports these points.

The lecture outlined the assessment criteria, which varied depending on the year or specialization. Trainees were required to submit a short recorded lecture to demonstrate their skills.
