The Continuing Education Center at the University of Basrah held a workshop on the scourge of drugs, its types, awareness, and prevention methods.

The workshop aimed to raise community awareness of the dangers of this scourge and the need for a community culture to combat it.

The workshop, presented by researcher Hamza Bassem Mohammed, covered the types of drugs and their effects on physical, psychological, and social health, as well as the stages of addiction, its treatment, and rehabilitation.

The workshop recommended emphasizing the role of society in spreading awareness and increasing knowledge about this scourge.
