The Continuing Education Center at the University of Basra held a lecture entitled "Scientific Plagiarism and Reputable Publishing Houses" as part of the fourth teaching methods course, Unit 8, Engineering Specialization.

The lecture aimed to enhance researchers' understanding of scientific research ethics, academic integrity, and the mechanisms for selecting peer-reviewed scientific journals.

The lecture, delivered by Dr. Adi Bashir Issa, included an explanation of the foundations of sound academic writing and ways to avoid linguistic errors.

The lecture also addressed the importance of publishing in reputable journals to enhance the standing of Iraqi researchers in international scientific forums.

The lecturer recommended that researchers adhere to quality and reliability standards in scientific publishing.
