University of Basrah Holds Training Course on Arabic Language Accuracy

The Continuing Education Center at the University of Basrah organized a training course entitled “Arabic Language Accuracy” with the participation of several employees and individuals interested in the field of language.

 

The course aimed to familiarize trainees with methods of identifying and avoiding common linguistic errors in official and academic writing.

 

Delivered by Dr. Abbas Abdulaziz Sayhoud, the course covered key topics including spelling, morphology, and grammar errors, in addition to rules of writing the hamza, distinguishing between the tied and untied taa, the differences between dhad and dha’, as well as subjects such as the predicate and subject, kana and its sisters, inna and its sisters, punctuation marks, and numeral–noun agreement.

 

The recommendations emphasized the importance of keeping pace with linguistic development and promoting a culture of Arabic language accuracy among specialists and employees.
