University of Basrah Holds a Lecture on Measurement, Evaluation, and Feedback in the Medical Field

The Center for Continuing Education at the University of Basrah organized a lecture on measurement, evaluation, and feedback within the medical specialization, as part of the third unit of the fifth Teaching Methods Course.

 

The lecture aimed to introduce the concepts of measurement, evaluation, assessment, and feedback, their types, and their significance, as well as to highlight the role of feedback in enhancing both teaching and learning processes. It also sought to familiarize participants with different measurement tools, distinguish among them, and equip the trainees with the necessary skills.

 

The lecture, delivered by Dr. Qutaiba Muslim Dawood and Dr. Khadija Sami Madi, covered definitions of measurement, evaluation, and assessment, along with the purposes of measurement, types of evaluation, exam blueprinting with examples and tasks, and the concepts of item difficulty and ease indices.
