The Continuing Education Center at the University of Basrah administered a teaching competency examination for disciplines within the fields of agricultural sciences and veterinary medicine, with the participation of a group of applicants seeking academic positions in Iraqi universities.

The examination aimed to assess the applicants’ scientific proficiency and teaching capabilities by evaluating their subject-specific knowledge, their ability to apply modern teaching methods, and their skills in effective communication with students. It also included components related to educational assessment and classroom management in alignment with the requirements of higher education.

The Center’s administration affirmed that this initiative falls within the university’s ongoing efforts to prepare qualified academic staff who contribute to enhancing the quality of higher education.
