The Center for Continuing Education at the University of Basrah conducted a lecture on education quality (Unit Seven for the Educational Specialization) as part of the fifth Teaching Methods Course.
The lecture aimed to familiarize trainees with the concepts of quality in higher education.
Delivered by Dr. Zainab Faleh Salem, the lecture defined total quality in higher education as the set of characteristics and standards that should be present in all components of the educational process—whether related to inputs, processes, or outputs—in order to meet the needs and requirements of society, as well as the desires and needs of learners.
Achieving this requires the effective utilization of all human and material resources within the educational institution.
