University of Basrah Holds a Lecture on Teaching and Learning in the Humanities

The Center for Development and Continuing Education at the University of Basrah held a scientific lecture as part of the Sixth Teaching Methods Course, first unit for humanities specializations, focusing on the concepts of teaching and learning and their role in fostering a positive orientation toward e-learning.

 

The lecture, delivered by Dr. Ammar Duraier Falih, reviewed the definitions and forms of teaching and learning, highlighted the key challenges facing both concepts, and emphasized the development of learning skills, along with a comparative analysis between teaching and learning. The session also included a survey of trainees’ opinions on the role of e-learning in advancing the educational process.

 

The lecturer affirmed that education constitutes a fundamental pillar in developing individuals’ capacities and contributing to societal progress, in line with the requirements of modern university education.
