The Center for Development and Continuing Education at the University of Basrah conducted an updated teaching competency test for engineering sciences, with the participation of several faculty members seeking certification in accordance with the regulations adopted by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research.

The test aims to evaluate the scientific abilities and teaching skills of the participants, and to measure their proficiency in presenting scientific material, managing lectures, and interacting with students.

The test included the presentation of model lectures before a specialized scientific committee to evaluate teaching performance according to specific academic standards.

This test is part of the University of Basrah's efforts to develop the competence of its teaching staff and raise the level of the educational process in line with the requirements of quality and academic accreditation in higher education institutions.
