The Center for Development and Continuing Education at the University of Basrah held a training course on the correct use of Arabic.
The course aimed to develop participants' skills in the correct use of the language in writing and speaking.
The course focused on enhancing knowledge of grammar, spelling, and style to help avoid common linguistic errors and achieve accuracy and clarity in expression, especially in official correspondence.
The course, presented by faculty member Weqar Hassan Abbas, covered several topics, including correcting spoken and written language, identifying terms not used in official documents, correcting some administrative terminology, and the rules for writing the hamza and numbers in Arabic. It also presented examples of common errors and methods for correcting them.
The course recommended paying close attention to the Arabic language in official correspondence.
