The Continuing Education and Development Center of The University of Basra organized an online workshop about administrative leadership

‏ The workshop aims to focus on the most prominent concepts, characteristics, and modern advice of administrative leadership supported by real examples to provide participants in the course with the leadership skills and abilities necessary to carry out their work and tasks and accomplish them efficiently and effectively.

‏ The workshop, which was presented by Dr. Abbas Abdel Hamid Abdel Abba online, included  the concept and importance of administrative leadership in organizations in different types, answering in detail the following question: Who is the leader and what is the role he plays towards the people he leads?Are the leader and the manager two sides of the same coin or not?  Or is every manager a leader or apt to practice leadership?

‏ It also touches upon imilarities and differences between  leadership and management, managerial skills, their types and how to invest them by managers, the most prominent qualities that the leader possesses to effectively and efficiently doing  his role, examples of influential leadership personality drawn from the present and the past and from different environments and cultures

‏ At the end of the workshop, it was recommended that what was covered in this workshop in terms of concepts, topics, and realistic examples to be presented clearly and practically.  In other words, what has been proposed in the field of work is to  be embodied, especially if we know that there are a good number of participants occupying high-level administrative positions in the institutions in which they work, as well as that the majority of the participants occupy positions at the middle administrative levels
