The continuing Education and Development Center at the University of Basra organized a workshop about statistics: From theoretical foundations to practical applications and  analysis of data using SPSS

‏ .   The of the workshop aims to acquaint the participants with the basics of statistics, its role in scientific research, statistical sources of data, and how to analyze it using the SPSS statistical package.

‏ The workshop, which was presented by Dr. Amer Abd Al-Nabi Al-Abadi, included: foundations of statistics, types of statistics, statistical sources of data, level of significance, and freedom degree        

‏At the end workshop,  the center's recommendation was to encourage the use of modern statistical methods to analyze scientific research data , and to make decisions on statistics-based analysis to ensur that  the right choices are made.
