The continuing Education and Development Center at the University of Basra

‏ organized an online workshop about effective academic teaching skills.

‏ The aims of the workshop,

‏which is part of the teaching

‏methods course for teaching staff are to enable new a

‏continuing education staff to use the necessary academic teaching skills effectively and proficiently, through

‏they're natural distributed into three fields: planning, implementation, evaluation

‏, and each field, including the special skills that the lecturer should possess;  so that their teaching is meaningful and effective and has positive effects regarding the students' levels, and their various knowledge.

‏ The workshop which was presented by Dr. Saad Ali Zayer included teaching new

‏ teaching staff how to possession teaching skills in its areas: preparation skills, priming, and objective formulation use the appropriate teaching methods, choice teaching methods,  the types of oral and written tests, which are essay-like and thematic, and giving practical examples of each skill.

‏ At the end of the workshops, the presenter recommended that it is necessary to enable the use of university teaching skills for the teaching to be active for which the course was held as
