The University of Basra organizes a course about “Employee Rights and the “Duties

The course aims to develop the capabilities of state Staff,  to acquaint them with the obligations the law imposes on them towards the state and individuals, and their rights, whether they are material or immaterial rights

The course which is presented by the lecturer, Etidal Abdel-Baqi, includes a definition of rights and duties according to the Civil Service Laws No. (24) of 1960, and No. (14) of 1991 in general, and rights: their definition, and their types: financial and non-financial, and the extent to which they are affected by the imposed penalties. Also tackles the duties imposed by the law on the State Staff their definition, their forms, the penalty for failure to do so, the rules of professional conduct contained in the Behavior Instructions No. 1 of 2006,  the judicial applications issued by the Administrative Judiciary Court and the Employees Judiciary Court, which relate to acquired rights, duties imposed.

At the end of the course, the presenter recommended that is necessary to make more legal courses and expand them in scope to include more numbers of employees and other legal topics related to career life
