
The continuing Education and Development Center at The University of Basra organized an online workshop about
non-verbal communication (body language), important support and facilities for each educational, training, and behavioral movement, which is part of the qualifying course organized by the continuing Education and Development Center at The University of Basra for new teaching staff.
The aims of the workshop are to highlight the role of body language in education
And to introduce the trainees with master's and doctoral degrees who wish to obtain a teaching license to the importance of non-verbal communication in the deliver information, management, and control of the class.
The workshop, which was presented by Dr Sabah Abdul-Samad Al-Bajari, included a detailed explanation of communication, its images, and its obstacles and focus on non-verbal communication ( body language) and its impact on every aspect of the educational process the learner and activate his learning, the lecturer and the class management and dealing with large groups. The workshop also included the type of movements and gestures he uses it in his lesson.
At the end of the workshop, thd presenter recommended that the teaching staff should pay attention to body language when dealing with learners and the necessity prepared a guide for uses and applications of body language in education
