The continuing Education and Development Center at the University of Basra organized an online workshop about “university leadership “within the Rigor project.                                     

 The objective of the workshop, which is part of the high leadership skills course, is the emphasis on the importance of administrative leadership for all organizations, especially universities, and to improve the performance of managers to become leaders.

The workshop, which was presented by Dr. Abdel-Reda Faraj Badrawi, included an overview of administrative leadership, determining the sources of the leader’s strength, comparing between leadership and management (the manager-leader), leadership styles, and a statement of leadership theories.

At the end, of the workshop, the presenter recommended adopting the approach that prepares administrative leaders at the university as a framework, practices, and requirements for occupying leadership and administrative positions
