Basra University organizes an electronic workshop on curricula as part of a development and rehabilitation project

The Center for Development and Continuing Education at the University of Basra organized an online workshop on the curriculum within a development and qualification project

The workshop, which is part of a developmental training course for faculty members on the concept of the curriculum, aims to explain the importance of the curriculum, know the foundations of curriculum construction, define culture, analyze curriculum elements, and express your opinion on the standards for organizing content.

 The workshop, which was presented by Dr. Daoud Abdel Salam Sabry, the teaching at Ibn Rushd College of Human Sciences, included the curriculum that takes a large part of the educators’ attention because of its curative and preventive effect. It sets goals, foundations and elements for it, which are derived from the needs of the individual and society and take into account the privacy and cultural identity of the nation, and development and revision processes must be carried out. For this curriculum and to address its shortcomings according to the new changes and developments in order to obtain a sound curriculum through which to reach the desired fruit and achieve the goals of the community. Which works to build the individual in a sound building for himself and for the community. It occupies an important aspect in ancient and modern educational studies, because it is the tool of society to achieve the goals it seeks, and it is the effective means to achieve comprehensive development plans for society in the short and long term, and it is the means that shapes the behaviors of its members
