The aim of the lecture, which is part of a developmental training course for faculty members in teaching methods, is to define educational goals. It helps to choose educational experiences for the curriculum and helps to identify appropriate teaching methods.

 The lecture, which was given by Dr. Nidal Issa Abdel Mudhaffar, included the definition of the educational goal

 The nature of knowledge (the subject matter), the psychology of learning, life, the local environment, the characteristics of the age, and the views of specialists in education.

 In the end, the recommendation was that the teachers should pay more attention to the learning outcomes than to the learning process, and urged the teachers to diversify the methods of assessment to achieve the full desired educational goals, and to inform the specialists in the field of curricula and teaching methods about global experiences to adopt a procedural plan

     It includes the classification of educational goals according to their characteristics and their relevance to the stages of growth of learners and the need for educational institutions to train teachers to design, implement and evaluate educational goals.
