The Center for Development and Continuing Education at the University of Basra set an online symposium focused on the curriculum within a development and qualification project. The workshop, aims to explore the following: the importance of the curriculum, the foundations of curriculum construction, approaching cultures, analyzing curriculum elements, and the opinions on the standards for organizing content. This symposium is viewed as a part of a developmental training course for faculty members on the concept of the curriculum.

 The workshop was presented by Lecturer, Sabri, D.A (Ph.D), (Ibn Rushd College of Human Sciences).It discussed the curriculum that takes a recognized part of the educators’ attention because of its curative and preventive impact. It takes into consideration the privacy and cultural identity of the nation. Moreover, the forum  sets goals, foundations and elements for it, which are derived from the needs of the individual and society. Thus, revision processes should be fulfilled this curriculum. According to the new changes and developments, the shortcomings should be addressed in order to have a recognized curriculum to reach the goals of the community. These processes are vital to prepare the individual himself to serve his community.
