‏The Continuing Education and Development Center at the University of Basra organized a workshop about “leadership and administrative skills”,

The objectives of the workshop, are to acquaint the participants

what is meant by leadership and the importance of leadership in general, and to clarify the most important leadership skills that help them during the completion of their work.

The workshop which was  presented by Dr. Nidal Yasser Abdullah include

‏ an introduction to leadership that

‏included a definition of leadership, the difference between the manager and the leader, some explanatory theories of leadership, the most important leadership styles, the skills that the manager should have: time management - motivation - communication - moral leadership - conflict management

‏at the end  of the workshop, the recommendation was to provide more courses about administrative functions and skills to enhance the performance of the participants.
