The Center for Development and Continuing Education at the University of Basra organized a course on Power Point presentations.The course aimed at employing skills and ideas in the Power Point application in a professional manner, as it is a familiar and frequently used application for all groups and disciplines, and by using the features available in it in an innovative way. It will compensate for the use of other programs in design, recording lectures, etc.

The course, presented by the researcher Sahira Kazem Al-Khafaji, included Power Point, which is one of the programs available within the Office package and is intended for presentations in companies and scientific centers, especially hyperlink applications and the inclusion of images, videos, graphics, charts, tables and sounds, where these commands are applied with different designs and layouts, as well as entry, formative and exit movements and paths according to the user’s need in the presentation.

In the end, a questionnaire was conducted for the participants about the pros and cons of the course, and the responses were very encouraging, in which they praised the good organization of the course and the great benefit of the material offered, with the many requests to hold similar courses.  The course was attended by number of employees, professors and post-graduate.
