Organizing a Course on Administrative Leadership at Basra University

The Center for Development and Continuing Education at the University of Basra organized a course on administrative leadership.

The aim of the course is to shed light in a concentrated manner on the most prominent concepts, characteristics and modern trends of administrative leadership, supported by realistic examples, in order to provide the participants in the course with the necessary leadership skills and capabilities to carry out their work and tasks and accomplish them in an efficient and effective manner.

The course presented by Dr. Orouba Rashid Ali Al-Badran which included the concept and importance of administrative leadership in organizations of all kinds, the answer in detail, clearly and accurately, and supported by realistic examples, the similarities and differences between leadership and management, administrative skills, their types and how to invest them by managers, the most prominent characteristics that the leader enjoys it in order to exercise his role efficiently and effectively. Examples of the influential leadership personality are drawn from the present and the past and from different environments and cultures.

At the end of the session, the recommendation was that it is necessary to invest in what was discussed in this session in terms of concepts, topics and realistic examples, which were presented in a clear and practical way. In other words, what was proposed should be embodied in the field of work, especially if we know that there is a good number of participants occupying administrative positions who have high-ranking in the institutions in which they work as well as the vast majority.
