The Continuing Education and Development Center at the Basra University organized an online workshop about ( the foundations of the scientific research method.

‏The Objective of the workshop, which is part of the Teaching Methods Development course, is to define the meaning of research Scientific research, its importance in development and development, the objectives of scientific research, and the ethical constitution for researchers.

‏The workshop, which was presented by Dr. Anwar Abdul Ali Hamid Al-Mayah, included the definition of scientific research, the stages of human thinking, the goals, and importance of scientific research, the characteristics of scientific thinking, the characteristics of the scientific researcher, the classification of scientific research, how to choose the researcher, solve the research problem, and formulate it,

‏in addition to setting research goals and formulating its hypotheses, the limits of research and defining terminology, and how to benefit from previous studies to follow the research methodologies, prepare data collection tools, and draw conclusions on which recommendations, proposals, and references are based, methods of documenting them in the body of the research, and a list of sources.

‏At  the end, of the workshop presenter recommended the necessity continue training courses about  the scientific research method for lectures  according to their needs, and the need to strive hard for researchers; To enrich scientific knowledge in their field of specialization, in a way that contributes to raising the level of awareness, and thinking about the various issues that scientific research can study, and the problems that contribute to solving them
