University of Basra organized an online workshop on mental and emotional relaxation for students and their families during the final exam period

The main objective of the workshop was to shed light on the importance of mental and emotional relaxation for students and their families during the challenging period of secondary and university education, which is often characterized by stress, psychological and emotional pressure, and a lack of mental and behavioral balance. This necessitates guidance and counseling intervention from individuals surrounding the students to achieve the highest level of relaxation, psychological comfort, and behavioral equilibrium during this period.

The workshop, presented by Dr. Ayad Ismail Saleh, covered the concepts of pressure, stress, psychological and emotional tension, and their role in shaping factors that weaken behavioral stability and hinder mental and emotional relaxation, which negatively impact the students' reading and studying processes during final exams. Additionally, the role of the family and parents in creating an environment conducive to relaxation and psychological comfort for their children was emphasized.

In conclusion, the workshop recommends the necessity of self-awareness and personal development for students by reducing stress factors and pressures resulting from intensive studying and reading. This can be achieved through the support of parents during these challenging situations that occur during the exam period
