The Center for Development and Continuing Education at the University of Basra organized a workshop on Delegation of Authority. The objective of the workshop is to train participants to enhance their skills and develop their knowledge regarding the mechanisms of dealing with the delegation process, particularly in relation to certain authorities. It is expected that delegating these authorities will achieve numerous benefits, the most important of which is allowing managers to focus on strategic planning.

The workshop, delivered by instructor Abbas Abdul Ali Mohammed, covered the definition of delegation in a way that is easily understood by participants and how to deal with it. It discussed the importance, principles, and negative aspects of delegation as perceived and understood by some managers. It also explored the reasons why delegation is necessary and highlighted highly important subtopics.
