The Continuing Education and Development Centre at the University of Basrah presented a lecture about" the Education Quality Unit.".

The objective of the lecture, which was a part of the Teaching Methods and Updated Curriculum lecture for the Southern Region, was to acquaint trainees with general concepts of quality, quality management, and related terms concerning student satisfaction.

It involves tools like checklists, Pareto analysis, and cause and effect to enhance teaching performance using SWOT analysis. The lecture emphasized working according to quality management methodologies, applying the PDCA cycle in all teaching activities, and developing skills in designing quantitative and qualitative checklists for teaching methods. for self-assessment of the educational standards,

The lecture, presented by the instructor, Marwa Musa Atwan Al-Mutwaq, at the University of Southern Technical, included discussions of quality concepts, ISO standards, quality in education, mechanisms for achieving educational quality, dimensions of educational quality, quality standards in education, and reasons for focusing on quality in education.

The expected outcomes of ensuring quality in education include quality tools (a fishbone diagram).

At the end of the lecture, the presenter stresses the necessity of delivering educational services to global quality standards to enhance the quality of education in Iraqi institutions.
