The aim of the lecture, which is part of the updated curriculum's teaching methods course for the Southern Region, is to develop the trainees' skills in research methodology and the role of scientific supervision.

The lecture, presented by Dr. Manaf Abdul-Kadhim Mohammed, a lecturer at the Southern Technical University in Basra, included a general concept of defining scientific research, personal and organizational motivations for scientific research, objectives of scientific research, the role of the supervisor in scientific research, and the characteristics of scientific research.

In conclusion, the recommendation was made to continue developing strategies for research methodology.
