University of Basra Holds Lecture on Academic Supervision of Theses and Research, Unit 8 of the Educational Specialization

The Continuing Education Center at the University of Basra held a lecture on academic supervision of theses and research, as part of the fourth teaching methods course, within the educational specialization, Unit 8.

The lecture aimed to introduce trainees to the concept of academic supervision of theses and research for undergraduate and graduate students.

The lecture, presented by Dr. Zainab Faleh Salem, included a definition of academic supervision, which is the process of guiding and supporting researchers by a specialized academic supervisor during the preparation of their theses or research projects.

The lecture recommended that the academic supervisor possess distinguished academic and practical experience, and have deep expertise in the field of research they supervise. Academic supervision must be based on credibility and ethics, and must not violate the privacy of researchers or exploit the results of their research for the supervisor's benefit.
