
The Center for Continuing Education at the University of Basrah has launched the fifth Teaching Methods Course, focusing on blended learning in line with the updated government program. The opening ceremony was attended by Dr. Ayman Saleh Naama, the University’s Assistant President for Administrative Affairs, Dr. Mustafa Abdulreda Kazem, Director of the Center, along with a group of teaching methods experts.
The course aims to equip trainees with essential skills and prepare them for obtaining academic titles.
Lectures were delivered by Rafid Abduljabbar Mohammed and Dr. Mustafa Abdulreda Kazem, Director of the Center, outlining the course modules which span three months and include eight training units.
The sessions covered an introduction to teaching and learning, with detailed explanations designed to achieve advanced outcomes in teaching methodologies. The lectures also emphasized the importance of specialization in this field to establish the foundations for advancing the educational system. In addition, the course presented the stages of the Teaching Methods Modernization Project based on the updated curriculum, along with an explanatory presentation on the concepts of teaching and learning.
