The Center for Continuing Education at the University of Basrah organized a training lecture as part of the fifth Teaching Methods Course (Unit One), focusing on teaching and learning approaches in applied sciences.

The lecture, delivered by Dr. Rafid Abdul-Jabbar Mohammed, reviewed key concepts of teaching and learning, highlighted the distinction between teaching and training, and outlined the core elements of the educational process.

It also emphasized effective teaching strategies such as direct instruction, brainstorming, discussion, and the use of modern technologies, in addition to fundamental teaching skills that enhance students’ academic experience and strengthen faculty competencies to ensure distinguished educational outcomes.
