The Continuing Education Center at the University of Basrah organized a lecture on the theories of teaching and learning in engineering specializations.

The lecture, which forms part of the teaching methods training course for engineering disciplines, aimed to enhance trainees’ understanding of teaching and learning concepts within educational institutions in the engineering field.

Delivered by Dr. Ali Lateef Tarish, a faculty member at the Engineering Technical College in Basrah, Southern Technical University, the lecture addressed the vital role of teaching and learning in community development, knowledge building, teaching methodologies, and the ways in which teaching and learning processes can contribute to the comprehensive development of both individuals and society.

The session also covered definitions of teaching and learning and the distinctions between them, the significance of integrating teaching and learning in the educational process, the design of blended learning, as well as dependency-based learning theories and their standards.
