The Continuing Education Center at the University of Basrah organized a lecture on teaching and learning skills for the medical specialization.

The lecture, which is part of a teaching methods course, aims to enable trainees to understand the concept of learning, clarify its importance, its conditions, the factors influencing it, and the specific terms and concepts. It also aims to distinguish the difference between the two and identify the characteristics of a successful teacher.

The lecture, presented by Dr. Khadija Sami Madhi and Dr. Mays Basil Jalil, included the concept of learning, the fields of learning, its levels and theories, the concept and characteristics of a successful teacher, the differences between them, the necessity of generalizing the use of metacognitive skills in the student teaching process, and how to formulate questions according to educational levels.
