The Center for Development and Continuing Education at the University of Basrah has conducted a teaching qualification test for the administrative sciences specialty, with the participation of a group of applicants seeking teaching positions in Iraqi universities.
The test aims to assess the applicants’ competency in both teaching and academic skills by requiring them to deliver a scientific lecture before a specialized committee. The evaluation focuses on the applicant’s ability to convey information effectively, manage discussion, and apply modern teaching methods.
The Center’s Director, Dr. Mustafa Abdul-Ridha Kazem, emphasized that the teaching qualification test is a fundamental step toward accrediting scientific competencies. He noted that the university is committed to ensuring high-quality standards in selecting instructors, in line with the Ministry of Higher Education’s efforts to enhance academic performance within educational institutions.
