
The Continuing Education and Development Center at the University of Basra organized an online workshop about “Educational and Behavioral goals”.
The objective of the workshop, which is part of the Teaching Methods course, are to qualify Teaching Staff,and to enable participants to formulate educational goals in the field of their teaching of educational materials. The workshop which was presented by Dr. Khawla Hassan Hammoud included the meaning of goals, their usefulness in the educational process, their types, how they are formulated behaviorally, the areas of behavioral goals, the behavioral actions of each field, and the areas of behavioral goals.
Bloom's classification of behavioral objectives is one of the most well-known classifications, and he classified them into the following three scopes:
The cognitive, mental, or cognitive domain:
they nclude objectives that deal with remembering knowledge, realizing, abilities developing, mental skills, and the affectional or emotional domain. The emotive
includes goals that describe changes in interests, attitude, trends, values, appreciation development, adaptation, psychomotor domain, or skill domain:
that represents objectives that focus on a muscular or movement skill, or that require skillful handling of some materials or things, some actions which require neuromuscular coordination
