The continuing Education and Development Center at the University of Basra organized an online workshop about“Management and its Functions Within the Rasanah project “

. The objectives of the workshop, which is part of high leadership skills are to provide trainees with knowledge, information, and skills to manage the departments and colleges  at the university and to increase understanding of the link  of responsibilities in the overall performance, and to emphasize the importance of the department’s leadership for the success of the overall activities of the university’s activities.

The workshop which was presented by Dr. Abd al-Ridha Faraj Badrawi included the roles of the director (head of the department, the dean…), planning, organization and control in university administration, strategic planning at the university,

university leadership, sources of leader’s strength, comparison between leadership and management. At  the end of the workshop, the recommendation was to adopt the systematic scientific bases for selecting people for management and leadership of departments, colleges, and centers of the university, that  is in  a context stipulated by the requirement to obtain certificates and administrative qualification to assume these responsibilities
