The University of Basra organizes a workshop on Educational Measurement and Evaluation as part of The Development and Rehabilitation Project

 

 The Continuing Education and Development

 Center at the University of Basra organized an online workshop on educational measurement and evaluation within a development and Rehabilitation project.

 

 The workshop, which is part of the teaching methods course for faculty members, aimed to develop the skills of teachers in preparing tests for students and reading measurement and evaluation in light of modern educational developments.

 

 The workshop presented by Dr. Ayyad Abdel-Jalil Salih included the definition of measurement and evaluation, educational objectives and its philosophy, the philosophy of university teaching and its curricula, standards for good testing, the functions and types of achievement tests, the difference between evaluation and evaluation, as well as the steps for creating and correcting the test.

 

 At the end of the workshop, the recommendation was to change the prevailing concepts about exams and establish question banks that include questions for electronic achievement tests for all disciplines to benefit from them in training those who are qualified to occupy the teaching profession due to the availability of question models that conform to the required standards
