The Continuing Education and Development Center at the University of Basra organized an online workshop on effective university teaching skills.

The objectives of the workshop, which is part of the Teaching Methods course for faculty members, are to enable new and continuing teachers to use the necessary university teaching skills effectively and proficiently, in terms of their natural distribution over three areas: planning, implementation, and evaluation. 

The workshop, which was presented by Dr. Sa'ad Ali Zayer, included teaching the  newly teachers to possess teaching skills in its three areas such as preparation skills, preparation and formulation of objectives, by using appropriate teaching methods, choosing teaching aids, closing skills, and types of oral and written tests, which are divided into  Essay and objective, giving practical examples for each skill.

 At the end, the recommendation was to mastering the use of university teaching skills so the teaching  becomes effective, and to give the expected results for which the course was held as a whole
