Teaching participation from the University of Basra by giving a workshop in the schools of the gifted in Basra

Dr. Khawla Hassan Hammoud, the teacher and director of the Center for Development and Continuing Education at the University of Basra, gave a training workshop for students of gifted schools in Basra on the psychological needs of gifted students and ways to satisfy them

The workshop intended for gifted students aimed to help them identify the most important psychological, social, emotional, cognitive and professional needs and to identify the most important means to satisfy them.

These needs must be among the most important goals that the school should strive to achieve, so that the school can provide programs that develop and refine their talents and encourage them to develop. Because gifted students are distinguished in their personal, behavioral, emotional, educational and social characteristics and traits, they are often under psychological pressure.

 In addition to understanding their characteristics and developing effective methods of dealing with them and meeting their needs, developing the self-concept to be more realistic and positive, accepting the self, recognizing the elements of weakness and self-strength, and working to develop them
