Basra University organizes a course on language safety

The Center for Development and Continuing Education at the University of Basra organized a course on the safety of the Arabic language

The aim of the course is to familiarize participants with language safety topics to strengthen and develop their skills in reading and writing; To overcome spelling and grammatical errors in research and letters, university theses, and administrative correspondence.

The course, which was presented by Dr. Walaa Mahmoud Shaker, included several topics, namely: the rules of writing the hamza, the Alif Al-Farqa, the Waw group, the rules of writing Tanween, the punctuation marks, the rules for writing the open ta’, the marbouta, the adverb, the modifiers, the daad, and the za’. And common linguistic errors, and the nominative sentence, and that and its sisters, and was and its sisters.

In the end, the recommendation was that it is necessary to continue holding such courses, for the various segments of society, the various state departments, and the private sector; To enhance the ability of its employees to develop their language skills, bypass spelling and grammatical errors, and increase course time; To cover more topics in language safety
