
The Center for Development and Continuing Education at the University of Basra organized an online workshop on hemorrhagic fever
The aim of the workshop is to introduce hemorrhagic fever and raise awareness about the cause and carrier of the hemorrhagic fever virus and how to prevent and limit the spread of the disease.
The workshop presented by Dr. Nadia Kazem Thamer and Dr. Hazem Talib Thuwaini included.
I dealt with two axes, the first related to the virus that causes hemorrhagic fever, and the second axis concerns the tick as the main vector of the hemorrhagic fever virus. It also presented videos related to the carrier, a brief overview of hemorrhagic fever viruses that included their types, characteristics and geographical distribution worldwide.

Identification of the tick, which is the medium for transmission and storage of the Crimean-Congo hemorrhagic fever virus.
In the end, the recommendation was that all meat traded in the local markets be subject to examination by the veterinary health and the necessity of obligating meat sellers to slaughter inside licensed and health-controlled slaughterhouses, and to deal cautiously with animals that are infected with ticks, as there are no symptoms related to the disease other than the presence of ticks.
