The University of Basra organizes a development course in the field of journalism and media

The Center for Continuing Education and Development at the University of Basra organized a training and development course in the field of visual, auditory, and written journalism and media.

 

The course, presented by journalist Mohammed Al-Asadi, aimed to familiarize trainees with the developments and innovations in the field of journalism and renewed media, as well as enhance professional skills to develop the work of employees in the media offices of the university and participating government institutions.

 

The course included theoretical and practical lessons in mastering the skills of readable, audible, and visual journalism, identifying the mistakes of presenters, correspondents, and program hosts, recognizing the most suitable template for news writing across different media, news monitoring with distinction, and explaining the most famous journalistic templates and schools for news editing. It also covered sources for obtaining reliable information for media outlets, explaining the principles, values, and ethics of the journalism profession, and the stance of Iraqi legislation in protecting these principles in the prevailing media laws, notably the Journalists Protection Law
