The University of Basra organizes a course on legal skills

The Center for Development and Continuing Education at the University of Basra organizes a course on legal skills.

 

The objective of the course is to enhance the legal skills of employees and improve their knowledge and legislative culture.

 

The course, presented by instructor Sanaa Abdul Latif Khudair, covers the following topics:

- The essential skills that a legal employee should possess.

- An overview of some procedural, substantive, and penal legislations.

- Focus on reviewing and explaining the positive and negative duties outlined in Law No. 14 of 1991 regarding the discipline of state employees.

- Review of the Code of Conduct for employees, Law No. 1 of 2016.

- Review and explanation of disciplinary penalties, their effects, and the authority that imposes them.

- Withdrawal of a hand (disciplinary action) and its types, appeals, and time limits.

- Administrative investigation.

- Appealing a disciplinary decision.
